Homeschooling, bonding and baking with her three kids, Kourtney Kardashian has admitted she's gained a little weight during lockdown – emphasising that she has no problem with it.

During a virtual chat with colleagues from her lifestyle website Poosh last month, she shared how she dealt with snarky comments about her fuller figure after posting a bikini photo that sparked pregnancy speculation.

"I commented back and said, 'This is the shape of my body, I've definitely gained a few pounds over this quarantine time, and I love my body and I'm proud of my shape'," she said. "We're all shaped differently, and that's my body and I'm proud of it."

But while she's comfortable in her skin at any size, Kourtney has shared exactly what she does when she wants to tone up, and the workouts that could help you drop up to 6kg as we emerge from lockdown.

On June 12, she posted a flashback bikini pic, taken by her supermodel sister Kendall Jenner, with a link to Poosh.

"While a toned body doesn't appear overnight, these three at-home exercises quickly tighten and define your core so you can feel your best this bikini season," she captioned the sizzling snap.

Wellness has long been a passion for the eldest Kardashian sister, who regularly shares her tips and tricks for a healthy lifestyle.

A source tells WHO's sister magazine People that the 1.52m-tall reality star works hard to keep her weight consistent.

"She works out and eats to try to stay around 45kg," the source says. "Yes, she eats very healthily, but she wants her body to be healthy and not underweight or malnourished."

In a YouTube Live chat with sister Khloé Kardashian, 35, in mid-May, Kourtney, 41, spoke about how she was integrating exercise into her everyday family life at home with children Mason, 10, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 5.

"I've been taking the kids in the backyard and then I'll run up and down the hills 10 times while they're playing," she said. "I'll swim laps when I'm with the kids in the pool and make it a game. Reign likes to ride on my back while I swim … It's just about being active."

When she really wants to ramp up her regimen, Kourtney – who swears by using a skipping rope for cardio – works out six days a week, usually with a trainer.

"If I don't schedule it, it's not going to happen," she says of her high-intensity workouts, which feature bodyweight-bearing exercises such as planks, lunges and jump squats.

When it comes to the kitchen, the reality queen follows a mostly organic and gluten-free diet, avoiding sugar and processed foods and sticking to smoothies, salads and lean proteins with vegetables to fill her up.

"We love to bake at our house," she said in her chat with Khloé, noting a favourite is gluten-free choc-chip banana bread. "But my lifestyle is to eat really healthy."

To drop kilos quickly, Kourtney also swears by cutting carbs.

"In my experience, I've found the best method to train my body to curb sugar cravings, burn fat and kickstart weight loss is by sticking to a keto diet," she says.

The high-protein, low-carb eating plan is designed to induce 'ketosis', a metabolic state that happens when your body switches from burning carbs to burning fat. On Poosh she has shared her tips for the eating plan, including ideas for keto-friendly snacks such as walnuts, sliced avocado with olive oil, salt and pepper, kalamata olives, and cauliflower pizza crust.

She also shared that when others indulge in dessert, she sips tea instead, "to keep my hands and my mouth busy", she explained.

"So many cravings are just your body asking you to hydrate or get some minerals, so this actually works a lot of the time."

The reality star has also worked intermittent fasting into her keto diet plan, avoiding eating past dinner at 7pm or until after her workout the next day at around 10.30am. But, she says, not being too strict is key.

"It's important to treat yourself. I just try and balance it," she says. "I do have my times when I indulge."

No doubt the fit star did just that while celebrating Scott Disick's 37th birthday recently. On June 13, Kourtney's sister Kim Kardashian West, 39, gave her millions of
fans a glimpse of the low-key party, sharing snaps of herself and other family members as they spent time with the birthday boy – who is the father of Kourtney's three kids.

"Scott is so happy that he and Kourtney get along so well and how easy it is with her. It's weird to everyone else, but not to them. They are really like best friends," a source tells Us Weekly of the couple, who spent Disick's actual birthday on a getaway with their children in Utah.

"Scott is always flirting with her and thinks she looks better than ever."
